Description

La Finestra sul Cielo's organic wholemeal pizza bases are made with a blend of white wheat flour and wholemeal wheat flour, both from organic farming. These bases are pre-baked, allowing for quick and easy preparation of homemade pizzas. They are ideal for combining with a variety of ingredients such as vegetables, olives, cheeses and proteins. Their texture is fluffy and light, offering an experience similar to that of a traditional pizza.

Instructions for use

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  2. Place the pizza bases directly on the oven rack (without a baking tray).
  3. Add the desired ingredients to the base.
  4. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the ingredients are hot and the cheese (if used) is melted.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, keep tightly closed and consume within 2 to 3 days.

Recipe: Wholemeal Wheat Pizza with Roasted Vegetables

Ingredients:

  • 1 La Finestra sul Cielo organic whole wheat pizza base
  • Natural tomato sauce
  • Grated mozzarella cheese
  • Sliced red and green peppers
  • Sliced aubergine
  • Black olives
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  2. Place the sliced aubergine, peppers and olives on a baking tray, drizzle with a little olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Bake the vegetables for 10 minutes until lightly roasted.
  4. Meanwhile, place the pizza base on the oven rack.
  5. Spread a layer of tomato sauce over the pizza base.
  6. Distribute the roasted vegetables over the sauce.
  7. Sprinkle with grated mozzarella cheese and dried oregano.
  8. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven, cut into portions and serve hot.
